WHAT IS INFRACRETE?
The mineral additive InfraCrete® is a hydraulic binder system that is used for the replacement of base layers and anti-frost layers. The new base and anti-frost layers are made from the existing soil using a soil stabilization with cement and InfraCrete®. The main advantage is that no excavation, no waste removal and no filling material is required.
HOW DOES INFRACRETE WORK?
InfraCrete® is performance enhancing and it neutralises the fulvic and carboxylic acids and thus boosts the cement hydration processes. Structural changes by the additional new formation of minerals during the cement hydration lead to a considerable increase of the pressure resistance, the modulus of elasticity, the bending tensile strength and frost resistance (without crack formation).

WHERE CAN INFRACRETE BE USED?
InfraCrete® can be used for almost all kinds of projects which require a load-bearing ground. No matter whether these are traffic infrastructure projects like roads or railways, industrial areas, real estate projects or renewables, harbour facilities, container terminals or outdoor storage areas, etc.
WHICH SOIL TYPES CAN BE UTILISED?
All soil types (except for peat) can be utilised to become base courses with extremely high strength, with or without a low wearing surface (e.g. asphalt, chipseal). After a short period of time the areas which have been treated will not absorb water anymore, so that the construction works can be carried out independently of the weather.

INCREASED LOAD-BEARING CAPACITY
InfraCrete® base layers have a load-bearing capacity which is significantly higher than conventional base layers made from gravel. Due to the increased load-bearing capacity the wearing surface can be reduced or even left out completely. Thin top layers (asphalt or chipseal) for roads are possible as well as close-to-nature surfaces without to layer at all. However, even in case of close-to-nature surfaces a road marking is possible.
SUSTAINABLE AND ECOFRIENDLY LAYERS
InfraCrete® layers are frost-proof, impermeable and salt- and acid proof. Thus, the resistance to environmental influences is increased and there is a prevention from frost and thermal damages. Furthermore, InfraCrete® permanently immobilizes environmentally hazardous pollutants in the ground.

Q: What is InfraCrete®?
A: InfraCrete® is a cement additive to be used for the soil stabilization and ground improvement.
Q: Is the InfraCrete® technology something completely new?
A: InfraCrete® enhances soil stabilization with cement. Soil stabilization with cement is a recognized technique, which is significantly improved by the additional use of InfraCrete®.
Q: What is InfraCrete®'s aggregation state?
A: InfraCrete® is a greyish powder, pretty similar grinded like cement.
Q: Is InfraCrete® new on the market?
A: No, InfraCrete® and its predecessor product have been on the market for almost twenty years now. Numerous projects around the world have already been realized using InfraCrete® and its predecessor product.
Q: What is the advantage over conventional gravel layers?
A: Gravel layers require the removal of the existing soil, waste disposal according to the latest environmental regulations and the purchase of filling material. For the InfraCrete®-cement stabilitzation you will only need cement and InfraCrete® whilst there is no need for any excavation.
Q: What is the advantage over a soil stabilization with cement only?
A: By using InfraCrete® you can reduce the total amount of cement compared to a stabilization with cement only, whilst the strength remains the same. Furthermore InfraCrete® layers are more durable, waterproof, salt and acid resistant and thus require less maintenance during their liftetime than layers made from cement only.
Q: Is there any other additional advantage?
A: Yes, in fact there is another huge advantage: the use of InfraCrete® reduces the risks of shrinkage cracks, which leads to a longer lifetime. No additional shrinkage reducing admixtures are necessary. Furthermore, InfraCrete® permanently immobilizes environmentally hazardous pollutants in the ground.
Q: How is InfraCrete®'s performance compared to competing products?
A: InfraCrete® has been tested by different independent laboratories and projects in comparative tests with competing products and InfraCrete® has come out on top of all tests. Furthermore, InfraCrete® is less expensive than the tested competing products.
Q: What is the dosage of InfraCrete®?
A: It is always 98% cement (portland cement, > 90% clinker ratio) plus 2% InfraCrete®.
Q: How much InfraCrete®-cement mixture is required for my project?
A: It depends and has to be determined through laboratory tests. The soil of your construction site has to be analyzed and the ideal amount of binding agent (= InfraCrete®-cement mixture) has to be determined through suitability tests. It is the same procedure like it is in case of a soil stabilization with cement only or with lime only.
Q: How much InfraCrete® do I roughly need for one squaremeter of surface?
A: As a rough guideline: 1 kilogram per squaremeter.
Q: Do I need special equipment for the application of InfraCrete®?
A: The standard equipment for soil stabilization with cement or lime is required, which amongst others is a spreading unit and a rotary tiller.
THE PRODUCT PURCHASE
Q: In which countries can InfraCrete® be purchased?
A: InfraCrete® is available in several countries. Please see our "Facts and Figures" section below for a list of our current sales areas.
Q: Are there local dealers in my country?
A: Yes, in many countries there are licensed InfraCrete® distribution partners. In case you are living in a country without distribution partner you are welcome to place your order directly with InfraCrete® GmbH as the manufacturer.
Q: I was offered the InfraCrete® product - how can I be sure it is the original product?
A: InfraCrete® is only being sold in the countries as stated below in our "Facts and Figures" section. Should you reside in a country we currently do not serve, it is pretty likely that someone might have offered you a fake product using our renowned brand InfraCrete®.
Q: Is InfraCrete® being sold together with cement?
A: No, it would be too expensive to ship cement. You will have to purchase the cement seperately at your place.
Q: Why is InfraCrete® manufactured in Germany only?
A: InfraCrete® is an engineering product made in Germany and we would like to make sure it is being manufacturered to the highest standards.
